Peleh doesn't know how to swim. Peleh took a step off the top step of his cousins' pool and his cousin Anna plunked him out of the water- no harm done. Except Uncle Dave had jumped in to save him too, so he got all wet. Oops. Noah and I were right there in the pool just not close enough. It only takes a second. Thanks Anna!
Peleh had another rough time on Sunday when I walked him through the pitch black garage and right into the wooden steps leading to the door. He bit his lower lip pretty hard and scraped hit lips and chin. Sorry dude, it was a rough weekend!
It was a busy weekend. We began on Friday evening with a lobster feast sent from Aunt Patty's Maine vacation. Peleh chowed down, he had good taste. Then we tried to go blueberry picking but ended up thrilled to find one blueberry at a time on nearly empty bushes. It was fun anyway. Next we went to Uncle Seth's softball tournament and played on the blazing hot playground with lots of other kids. I fetched a foul ball and impressed myself with my throw-back to the player waiting for the ball about 15 feet away. So my throwing arm isn't too good, I can heft a 25 pound kid so I still feel good about it. Then what... then we went to Aunt Jess's house for dinner and swimming, and not swimming. Remember it was blazing hot on the playground? When we headed over to the pool it clouded up, rained, and cooled off. We still went in, but only for a short time because it was pretty cold. Peleh and his cousins out on a dance performance and had a blast. We went back to Papa and Grams' house and crashed out. On Sunday Noah went in to the office and Peleh and I went to church with Aunt Jess and her family while Papa and Grams went to theirs. After that Peleh played with Papa and Grams while I went to the farm stand for a good dose of sweet corn and eggplants. Then we headed home. Whewh!
